| Slow Burn at Serious Strength
Slow Burn is a resistance training technique that asks you to move your body in a slow, smooth and controlled fashion when lifting and lowering weights. This reduces potentially harmful forces and improves the level of stimulation your body receives. (See Study Abstract) Slow Burn is very similar to Tai Chi in that there are no sudden or highly abrupt movements. (Check out some of our exercise demonstrations below.) Every exercise you perform is fluid and concentrative, the breathing you do is natural and constant and the overall feeling you’ll experience is exhilaration. Slow Burn can be used on a weight machine or a Pilates Reformer. It can also be used with barbells, dumbbells or with other training device like a Bowflex or Total Gym. Slow Burn is so effective that only two 15 - 20 minute sessions per week is all most people require for optimal results. This, along with following our Slow Burn Power Eating plan, will significantly improve your body shape and general health in as little as 6 weeks. We guarantee it. Here are a few animated demonstrations of the Slow Burn training technique used exclusively at Serious Strength. Note the slow, even tempo. This makes for a very safe and extremely effective strengthening program. |
